2017 Day 178 – Total Praise

Psalm 145 is about one of the most praise-filled Psalms I remember reading. Honestly, it was filled with so much adulation for God, I wasn’t sure what to write about (and at 11:45 PM, I need to write fast!).

The Psalm extols so many of God’s virtues – especially His majesty and splendor – but I thought I’d simply point out a few of the characteristics which lean on the side of His kindness:

  • Abundant in goodness (vs. 7)
  • Gracious and merciful (vs. 8)
  • Slow to anger (vs. 8)
  • Abounding in steadfast love (vs. 8)
  • Good to all (vs. 9)
  • Kind in His works (vs. 13)
  • Upholds those who are falling (vs. 14)
  • Raises up those who are bowed down (vs. 14)
  • Satisfies the desire of every living thing (vs. 16)
  • Kind in all his works (vs. 16)
  • Near to all who call on him (vs. 18)
  • Fulfills the desire of those who fear him (vs. 19)
  • Hears their cry and saves them (vs. 19)
  • Preserves all those who love him (vs. 20)

What love!

Dear Lord: Thank you that you are so care for your creation, including me. Thank you especially tonight that you fulfill the desires of those who fear you.  You know what I’m talking about! Amen
