Day 351 – He Wipes Away My Tears

Now this is just a great passage from Revelation! I believe this describes all the Saints – and what a time we’ll have!

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,  and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God,
and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:9-11a, 13a, 14b- 17 ESV)

What an amazing picture of heaven – nonstop worship of those who’s robes are bleached white by the Lamb’s blood!

Because of that blood, WE can stand before God’s throne!

Because of that blood, WE are sheltered by our Shepherd!

Because of that blood, WE drink from living water!

Because of that blood, HE wipes away our tears.

HE wipe away our tears!

What a gentle God we have, who wipes away our tears.

When things go hard in life, I think more of God sternly – yet kindly – prescribing the remedy for my sin and waiting for the painful antidote to bear fruit.

But I forget this part: while I suffer, he wipes away my tears.

The Lamb shed tears before and during the Cross so that by His blood, He might become my Shepherd —

And wipe away my tears.
