Day 303 – Good Words for the Good Word

Well, I stumbled over some passages today that aren’t new to me. But these passages are among my favorites.

Both talk about Scripture:

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV)

What more can you say than what God has said (through Paul)?

The Word does it all!

No wonder that:

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105 KJV)

Yes it is.

I cannot read that Psalm without remembering a song I listened to endlessly in my younger days, still listen to occasionally.

You know the one, written by Michael W. Smith and performed here by Amy Grant.

Well, you know it if you are old enough to remember.

Good thing the that Scripture is older than me!

Today’s Readings: Jeremiah 45:1 – 46:28, Psalm 119: 105-112, Proverbs 28:4, 2 Timothy 3:1-4:8. See About for what I’m up to with these daily posts. Your daily blogger, Holiday Longing (Reproduce with permission only).
